On grassy bed at break of dawn,
I lay with you beside,
As we gaze a blue that takes the clouds
and paints a Rembrandt sky,
We conspire to be forever held
in each other’s hearts and minds.
I hold your face and take you in;
Each fleck that makes your eye,
Lost in the sound of your heartbeat
as it taps in time with mine.
Love sublime.
This poem was written for NaPoWriMo. Today’s challenge was to write a curtal sonnet. Not sure if this follows the rules in their entirety, but it’s a little late and will have to do!
